Terms of Service
Last updated: October 13, 2026
These terms apply to slcspotlight.com and to the services provided by SLC Spotlight LLC ("SLC Spotlight", "we", "us" or "our"). By using the website or our services, you agree to these terms. Some services may also come with a written agreement or order confirmation; if it conflicts with these terms, the written agreement controls.
1. Our services
SLC Spotlight provides local advertising and marketing services, including:
- Community Postcards: a shared 6.5 x 12 inch postcard mailed by USPS Every Door Direct Mail
- Community Boards: advertising boards inside local restaurants and businesses, and board hosting
- Printing and custom apparel
- Solo direct mail and EDDM campaigns
- Digital marketing, including the Spotlight System, Growth and Dominate plans, local SEO, Google Business Profile setup, Google Ads management and Local Services Ads management
2. Prices and payment
Published prices are listed on our pricing page and are in US dollars. Services without a published price are priced by quote. We may update published prices; changes do not affect services you have already paid for.
- Community Postcards. Payment is due at reservation by card or ACH. Spots are first come, first served and are not held without payment.
- Community Boards. Board spots run for 12 months, billed at $600 per year or $60 per month.
- Digital plans. Billed monthly, with no long-term contract. Growth and Dominate prices are starting prices. Google Ads spend and Local Services Ads lead costs are paid separately and are not part of the plan price.
- Quoted work. Printing, apparel, solo direct mail and custom website design are billed as quoted.
3. Category exclusivity
We place only one business per category on each Community Postcard and each Community Board. We decide category definitions in good faith and confirm your category with you before you pay. Exclusivity applies to the specific card edition or board you purchase.
4. Mail dates, routes and placement
We confirm mail dates and board placement with you directly. Routes for each Community Postcard edition are chosen by us. Delivery is performed by the United States Postal Service, and we are not responsible for USPS delays or delivery issues outside our control.
5. Your content and approvals
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the logo, offer, contact details and other content you provide, and for honoring any offer you advertise.
- You confirm you have the right to use any logos, images and text you send us.
- We send a proof for every ad we design. Nothing prints until you approve it. Once you approve a proof, you are responsible for any errors it contains.
- We may decline content that is unlawful, misleading or inappropriate for a community audience.
6. Cancellations and changes
Postcard and board spots hold a category that other advertisers are then turned away from, so please contact us as early as possible about any change. Terms for changes, cancellations and refunds on a specific reservation are confirmed with you in writing when you reserve. Digital plans have no long-term contract; contact us to change or cancel your plan.
7. Digital marketing services
- Digital services run on our platform. We set up and manage the tools; you agree to use them lawfully, including laws about texting and contacting customers.
- Review requests are sent to every customer. We do not filter or block negative reviews.
- Search rankings, ad performance and Google's decisions (such as profile verification or Local Services Ads eligibility) are outside our control. We do not guarantee rankings, leads or results.
8. No guarantee of results
We work hard to give every advertiser a fair chance to be seen, but we do not guarantee any number of calls, leads, sales or other results from any service.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, SLC Spotlight is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service involved.
10. Website content
The content on this website, including text, graphics and design, belongs to SLC Spotlight or is used with permission. Guides and other content are for general information and are not legal or financial advice.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed.
