What You Get

How Yard Signs Works

A yard sign at a job site tells the whole street who did the work. We print yard signs for job sites, events and promotions, with design help to keep them readable from a car. Pricing is by quote.

What makes a yard sign work

Most yard signs are printed on corrugated plastic (often called Coroplast) and pushed into the lawn on a wire H-stake. They’re light, weather-resistant and easy to move from job to job. Double-sided signs can be read from both directions on a street; single-sided signs are fine when the sign faces one way.

The hard part is design. Drivers see your sign for a second or two, from across a lawn. That means:

  • Few words. One message, like “Roof by” plus your name.
  • A large phone number. Big enough to read from the street.
  • High-contrast colors. Dark on light or light on dark. Avoid busy backgrounds.
  • A logo that supports the message, not one that crowds it.

Our guide, yard sign design tips, goes through readability distance and layout in more detail.

Job-site signage etiquette

Ask the homeowner before you stake a sign, and check any HOA or city rules. Most customers who are happy with the work say yes. Pick the sign up when you’re done, or agree on how long it stays.

Common problems we solve

“Nobody can read my sign.” We cut the words and enlarge the number.

“I need signs fast for an event.” Tell us your timing when you ask for a quote.

“My signs don’t match my trucks.” We keep your colors and logo consistent across print.

Pair your signs with door hangers for the neighbors and car magnets for the truck parked out front.
